Teacher of Economics

This post presents an exciting opportunity for an inspirational teacher to challenge our highly able students in a subject which attracts large Advanced Level numbers.

This position would suit a qualified Economics teacher, or a suitably qualified graduate with a desire to train as a teacher of Economics.

Experienced applicants are also welcome to indicate their interest in a TLR position as a Pastoral Leader (Head of Year).  The TLR post attracts a responsibility payment of £4,813 as well as significant timetable reduction.

Through our own induction programme, and the use of external agencies, we have a proven record of securing QTS for talented graduates who join us without a formal teaching qualification. There are also excellent professional development and leadership opportunities for experienced teachers.

Following the retirement of the incumbent post-holder there is an exciting opportunity to join Westcliff High School for Boys as we seek to refresh our Library offering.

The Library is a key part of what we offer to support the curriculum and pupils' progress. The Library is a quiet study area and also a space for pupils to read and complete their homework.

The Librarian will be responsible for developing and maintaining an effective Library and for overseeing the provision on offer.

Director of resources and support Operations

Start Date: September 2020 (negotiable)

Salary: £56,579-£62,426

Westcliff High School for Boys requires a Director of Resources & Support Operations to work as a member of the School’s Senior Leadership Team and to provide direct support to the Headmaster in developing, leading and managing the School’s financial strategy and other support functions, including HR and matters related to the development of the School’s site.

The successful candidate will be qualified to at least degree level, and will have a successful track record in Senior Leadership and the ability to ensure the School’s vision and priorities are translated into delivery, and that its values are embedded at all levels within the School.
