Westcliff High School for Boys Parents’ Association is a Registered Charity no. 1028007. As a parent or caregiver for your son/daughter at WHSB you are automatically part of the Parents' Association.  Over the years, the Parents’ Association has contributed to the School by raising thousands of pounds through a variety of events and initiatives. Projects supported with money raised include funding towards two new minibuses, digital image transfer equipment for the Design and Technology Department, furniture for the Sixth Form Centre, new sports kit for the PE department, and sound and light equipment that is used for the multitude of events that take place in School throughout the year.  We support the School at many of its calendar events throughout the year including Open Evenings for admission to Years 7 and 12 and by hosting a Welcome event for new parents in September.  We meet typically once each half term via Zoom and hold our AGM in School during the Autumn Term.  If you would like to join our team of regular volunteers, help occasionally or just be added to our mailing list, we would be delighted to hear from you!

Keeping in Touch and Privacy Notice

We keep in touch by email to inform parents and caregivers of our activities and to ask for your help with volunteering at School events.  Please email us at pa@whsb.essex.sch.uk  if you would like us to add your name and contact email address to our Parents’ Association Distribution Listing. Your details may subsequently be included on a rota if you volunteer at events, in minutes if you attend a committee meeting or AGM or in e-mails to keep you updated of our activities and fundraising. WHSB Parents Association is the “controller” for the purposes of data protection law. We keep your personal data secure, and we will not share your information with anyone. You can email us at pa@whsb.essex.sch.uk to ask a question about your information or to ask us to remove, correct or stop using your information. You can also ask us to provide you with a copy of the information we hold about you.

Easyfundraising

Launched in 2005, Easyfundraising is the UK’s biggest charity shopping site.  Easyfundraising partners with over 7,000 brands who will donate part of what you spend to a cause of your choice.  There is no additional cost to you, the cost is covered by the brand that you purchase from.  Shops and sites on board and who will donate include eBay, Argos, John Lewis, ASOS, Booking.com and M&S.  All you need to do is go to https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/westcliffhighschoolforboys and join for free.  Login to Easyfundraising every time you shop online to find the site you want and start shopping.  After you have checked out, the retailer will donate to Westcliff High School for Boys Parents’ Association at no extra cost to you whatsoever, there are no catches or hidden charges.  The Parents’ Association will be very grateful for your donations.

Amazon Wishlist

The WHSB Parents’ Association Amazon Wishlist consists of items that have been carefully selected by staff including books, educational equipment, materials and resources and enables parents, carers and other members of our School Community to make voluntary contributions towards school supplies should they wish to do so.  Items will continue to be added throughout the School year as needed. Purchases can be dropped into the School Reception or delivered directly by Amazon to WHSB, with donations being made public or remaining anonymous, whichever is preferable.
