Westcliff High School for Boys' Teams Win Two Young Enterprise Awards

ix teams of entrepreneurs from Westcliff High School for Boys competed at a local Trade Fair and won two prestigious awards for their efforts. The teams, comprised of Lower Sixth students, were participating in the regional Young Enterprise Company Programme. Each team created a stand at the Southend Victoria Trade Fair, produced and sold their wares to the public. The objective was to generate profit on their investment and introduce their products to the general marketplace. Team Uplife won 'The Best Trade Stand' award and Team Sparks won 'The Best Sales Team' award.

Rudra Patel, CEO of Team Uplife: "It feels great that, as a team, we were able to win the Best Trade Stand award, as we put in a lot of thought when planning how we would set out the stand to make it look as festive as possible". 

Varun Bhardwaj, CEO of Team Sparks: "We are honoured that our skills in sales and business have been acknowledged by Young Enterprise. We appreciate the opportunity our School has given us, enabling our team to participate and compete".
