Drama and LAMDA at Westcliff High School for Boys

It has been another successful and bumper year for Drama and LAMDA at Westcliff High School for Boys. At a special Assembly last week, we celebrated the achievement of more than 200 LAMDA students at the School in delivering our best ever LAMDA results, with 97% gaining Merits and Distinctions in their examinations, the vast majority being Distinctions. Well done to Daniel, Ted, Hasnain, George, Zebediyah, and Saim for their particularly strong results, and to all those studying for LAMDA at the School, learning key skills of public speaking, oracy, and performance.
We were also able to award Drama colours to students to celebrate another year of success in Drama at WHSB, with the School now being the only school in the country, state or private, to secure multiple Awards at two successive National School Theatre Award events. We also welcomed back our theatre company from its third production at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where our show Much Ado About Pirates secured a five star professional review. Drama and LAMDA are thriving at WHSB!
We are grateful to Mr Jeffreys, Director of Drama, and his team for all the support offered to the pupils in gaining these awards, and for all the fantastic opportunities in Drama made available to our pupils.
